This is an exclusive walking tour to explore the hidden treasures of Kathmandu, its people and rich culture and traditions. On this tour you will visit historic courtyards, alleyways and the core residential area of Kathmandu, where local people live in joint families; Hindus and Buddhists intermingle and live in harmony.
The Newar people dominated the Valley for most of its history and they created the beauty of its traditional art and architecture. They accumulated wealth through trade and established its reputation amongst the Himalayan peoples as a society small in size yet immense in human spirit. This tour provides an insight into ancient history, rich culture, traditions and way of life in Kathmandu.
This walking tour is offered daily, Sunday to Friday, 9am – 12pm, and will begin in Thamel.
Price does not include entrance fees to World Heritage sites.
