Pharping and Swoyambhunath Tour

Pharping is one of the most revered of Buddhist sites, where Guru Padmasambhava, the 8th century Tantric sage, is said to have achieved enlightenment. For centuries Pharping has been a center for spiritual practice . There are two caves where Padmasambhava and his consort Shakyadevi are said to have meditated, and the area boasts many monasteries, temples and residences of revered Tibetan masters. When guided by an FPMT teacher or facilitator, you will be introduced to the basic concepts of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, and short guided meditations in the ancient holy caves will be offered.

Then visit Swoyambhunath stupa on the way back to Kathmandu, enjoy the view of the city from the top of the hill, and learn about the history and significance of this powerful site.
